Firefly Energy Oasis Battery

The new Oasis Battery from Firefly Energy: Microcellâ„¢ foam technology that’s changing the rules of the road. Developed by scientists at Firefly Energy, Microcellâ„¢ foam is a material that’s revolutionizing the battery industry. Compared to lead plates – one of the main components of most conventional truck batteries — patented Microcell technology delivers longer service life, increased energy efficiency and better performance under extreme conditions. That’s why we used it to create our revolutionary Oasis Group 31 battery. Oasis’ unique design resists sulfation and corrosion (two of the primary causes of failure in lead-acid batteries), while dramatically increasing the surface area within the battery, resulting in greater energy capacity, faster recharges, and deeper discharge capability,

Hey guys I’m trying to build more own custom lead acid battery. Not custom in chemistry but custom in shape. I want to make a battery thinner taller and longer for use in a bldc motor cycle. Right now I’m using normal batteries but I think It would look and corner much better if I could build it the shape I want to. If you have any info that could help me please contact me. Thanks.

I have checked out their performance specs (available on web-site) and compared them to many other high quality AGM batteries eg Exide XMC-31 they have little advantage. The firefly product may have ~10% greater energy per unit mass at slow discharge rates. It may also be a bit better in terms of cycle life but where it fails to compare is under very high power applications (eg XMC-31 can deliver 1.4 x the power) so for EV use check the specifications before you buy, other brands may be better.
